  1. i am starting to have this pain on both of my feet. i feel more pain when i spin. let me tell you where the pain is: if you stand up and look down to your feet, put a imaginary clock face on your right foot, the pain is at the 3o'clock area, and 9 o'clock for the left foot. is this a cleat position issue? if yes, should i move the ball of my foot in front or in back of the pedal?
    thanks

  2. Well, as a rule of thumb, the Ball of your foot should be directly above the centre line of the Pedal Spindle...however, my wife had the exact same problem as you which became even worse on the Trainer, so we did two things..

    1. Bought some Dr Scholls sole inserts which helped her a lot but didn't solve the problem...

    so..

    2. I moved her cleat forward by equal amounts on both shoes (towards the Toe of her shoe) and the problem disappeared immediately...

The Ball of her Foot is now a little behind the spindle center-line but I'm beginning to learn that most bike fitting Guide lines are simply there for a good start...sometimes further adjustments are neccessary because we're all built differently...

So I'd suggest buying some inserts, then, if needed, move your cleats fwd a few mm's at a time and see what happens...

I hope this helps..let us know!!

    Hi

I have pain in the same area when my shoes or hockey skates are too tight. Try loosening your shoes a little and see if that works.
