  1. I'm 45 years old. Ride a 2003 model Trek 2000. An average ride for me is 2 hours at an average speed of 30/31 km/hr. (riding alone)
What speed do the rest of you average during a 2 hour ride by yourself?

  2. A little older - a little slower

  3. 36

    2 hour ride, alone: approx 28-29 km/h

So I guess you're doing great, or I suck ;-)

I guess more responses will tell the tale

  5. 54 years old. Usual ride is from 27 to 47 miles on a paved bike trail. I average between 19.5 and 20 mph on a regular basis.

  6. The type of road makes a big difference. I tend to ride lots of hills near home. A two hour ride may be at an average of between 26 - 28 km/h. 41 y/o. The longer the hills, the slower the average.

There is a mid-week ride I do sometimes with a bunch, and the average speed is higher (28 - 29 km/h) but there is more fast riding on that route, and the hills are only short.

  7. I live 60 miles west of Toronto, Canada. All roads in this area are rolling hills with the odd smooth road.

  8. This is an interesting thread to me. I am 39 years old and ride a paved bike path. Including stops for road crossings at several places along the way, I average 28 kph over 2 hours. I do this ride once a week. No huge hills but some long slow grades. I am 6'1" and 209 lbs. I do this riding alone. When I ride in a group I pick up some speed. I am also interested to know how this works out.

  9. This time of year I'm still coming out of my winter sloth mode. A 2-hour ride for me could average as much as 28-33 Kph for a relatively flattish ride. Hillier terrain might cut that to around 25 Kph.

    I'm 49.

  10. hi!I average a 70kph on my good day!!Going a distance of 1 mile down a 1-4 hill!!!! Good hey!:p 😉 Normally about 19mph over a couple of hours at the moment on my winter bike!More when its summer and i get on my best bike!

I always feel bad toward my winter bike when i call my other bike my best bike because after all, its my winter bike thats so important keeping myself going when its wet, windy, raining, snowing etc!phew take a breath.I call it my faithful!!!!

    Steve😄
