  1. What's happening today?

Firstly, a Range Rover lets me out of my road with a wave & a friendly
    smile.

Then, a few minutes ago, a young lass in a hatchback waves me out with a
    friendly smile.

Two nice cagers in one day -- one of them in a satan mobile -- well, its
almost more than a boy can take!!

Must be the nice weather -- though its nicer on a bike than in a box.

It's not the new yellow jacket with 'POLICE' written on it, is it?

No. Old git on an old git bike.

Ah for the day when we have unmarked police bikes on the roads.

Complete with gun racks, flamethrowers and portable roadside gibbets
of course, to bring in another thread.

(ps. for the humour-imapired I am joking. But not about the unmarked
    police bikes)

When that happens (not too often), I like to think that it's because
said young lady wants to cop a look at my gorgeous lycra-clad [censored].

I'm well aware that I'm deluding myself, but that's not the point.

There's that sad moment when you first have children and you are
carrying a baby around and all the girls are looking at you and
smiling.....and then it dawns they are not looking at you at all ;-(

About eighteen years later it's even worse when said baby has turned
into your post-adolescent son and you risk a hernia from pulling your
stomach in whenever the lassies flash a smile in your direction, but you
always forget for a nanosecond that they ain't looking at you...
