  1. I purchased a new Crank brother's frame pump which has a low volume or high volume selection. It
works fine on my Presta valves but when I use the Schraeder end (dual head) it just blows air out
the presta end. This caused me a walk home the other day despite being prepared with my new pump.
    Any suggestions?

  2. Good question, I have the same pump, shrader valves and the same problem. I seem to be able to
get it to work occassionally for a bit. But I'm back to pumping air out of the pump instaed of
    into the tire.

  3. If this is the pump you are having problems with, the info on this link may be of some use:

    Best regards

Twist the collar in the other direction. It works as a switch to toggle between the two valves.

  5. In 1998 I bought a new Easy Racers Gold Rush. After a few hundred miles, I wanted a wider tire and I
replaced the wheel, I just sold the Gold Rush and now want to get rid of the extra wheel. It is in
excellent condition, with the tire and tube mounted. All are in excellent condition with only a few
hundred miles on them. The rim has no markings other than saying it is a Sun Rim and "Ultra Hard
Anodized". The 32 spoke hub is Shimano Ultegra as is the quick release. The tire is an IRC Road Lite
    EX 20 x 1 1/8, 100 psi.

The item is on Ebay, see cgi.ebay.comeBayISAPI.dll.

  6. From Crank Brothers Faq

I can't get air to go into the tire: when you push the head onto your valve (presta or shrader), you
should twist the gray collar 1/4 turn towards the valve (that has the black arrows) after you have
pushed the head on. this does two things: it makes the air come out of the correct side (if it comes
out of the wrong side then you need to twist it the other way) and it locks the head onto the valve.
then to remove the pump head after pumping, you should twist the gray collar back 1/4 turn and then
pull it off. another hint. there is a threaded cap that holds the valve grabbing parts inside. you
should tighten it as far as you can and still be able to push the head over the tire valve and still
be able to twist the gray collar into position. if you can't push the pump head onto the valve, then
the cap is too tight. If you can't twist the gray collar, then the cap is also a bit too tight. once
you have it set, then you shouldn't need to adjust it again. this is true with virtually all bicycle
pumps. the tighter the threaded cap, the tighter the pump head will squeeze the valve. as a rule of
thumb, there should be about a credit card width space between the pump head and the cap. this
should also give maximum sealing even when the pump head is not perfectly perpendicular to the
valve. secondly, when pumping, try not to pull the pump head away
