For the last couple of days I've had a stonker of a migraine. This morning it had gone, but I was feeling somewhat washed out by it. Nathan rang from college.."Err... I've got to have some moeny in today for college thinggie... Err..." Typical teenager with lack of communication ;-) So instead of criving to Fakenham I got Gino out & cyclied there. Constant drizzle combined with an againsterly for the trip there & back. But boy, did it clear the head & blow the cobwebs away. Most excellent!

The weather is still in rollercoaster mode; three days ago I cycled to Ely and back in shorts and t-shirt, yet today I had to light the woodburner once again - blooming raw out there if you ask me, so well done for venturing out. It's a laptop-in-the-lounge-in-front-of-the-fire day for me...

April 3rd: sunburn. April 8th: snow. What's /that/ all about, eh readers?

Glad your head is better now, I used to have migraines in my 20s but I think it was from sniffing lab solvents to get high! Yes, I was on the road bike a couple of days ago in shorts - today I had to wheel the hybrid out and ride to work in tights.
All of the commuters on the way home that I used to blow away were more of a challenge - you really miss the acceleration. The other day I actually took on a roadie, albeit one built like a climber (like Roberto Heras) and flew away at 27 mph. I glanced back at 2 miles in and he was well down, which was a great confidence boost. Maybe I am ready to give racing a go.
