2005 allez comp info?

There's plenty of info on the '04. The '05 to my knowledge has no significant changes except for the rear seat stays (which are now composite, no big deal). But the reviews are worth precious little compared with the opinion you gleen for yourself by riding one.

I just bought the allez comp with the triple last weekend. The double is nicer, but was more than I had. I love my comp, the best bike that I have owned or test ridden. I went for a 50 miler this weekend and was shocked by how smooth of a ride the comp is. There is carbon all over the thing and you can tell it makes a huge difference on the back roads. I weighed my in with everything on it pump, water cages, etc. and weighed only 18 lbs. Go with the comp you will love it, take my word!

Everyone's preference is different, but I have the '04 Allez Comp Double and love it. Supposedly it's "not comfortable" due to racing type geometry, but I haven't noticed any issues (or I've adapted and just can't tell).

You probably can't go wrong with it as long as the fit suits you.

roadbikereview has the 04 Allez comp double as its best bike for under $2500 based on reviewers. I own it with a few upgrades in componentry and it's likely the '05 model is another winner.

I picked up a 05 Comp Double this spring and am very please with it. I sold the Mavic Equipe wheel set and replaced them with American Classic Sprint 350's. Only other change was the saddle to my SLR. Weight with computer, 2 bottle cages, and pedals comes in at 17.4 lbs.

The bike is very stiff when sprinting or climbing out of the saddle. What's amazing is how nice it rides being as stiff as it is. I'm sure the carbon and zerts help. I did a lot of research and with the Dura Ace components I think it overs great bang for the buck. I couldn't afford the Tarmac Pro, but after riding this bike I'm more than happy with my choice.
