Well... without DiLuca2005 this would have been a fantastic win, riding
everybody off his wheel.
I haven't heard (or SEEN) much... but it looked like a train for Freire at a
a certain moment. Did you hear what The Plan actually was?

That was the plan. Apparently Freire had said the legs were good. Nobody,
especially not Boogerd, questions the 3-time World Champion, so Dekker the
Elder, Kroon and Boogerd pulled upto and onto the Cauberg with Freire in
their wheel. When Boogerd closed the gap to Murn, Freire shot back down the
group never to return. Boogerd didn't notice until Di Luca passed him 50 m
before the line. You could see him look back in desperation: what, where's
Oscar?! Then he saved his 2nd place.

Boogerd has nothing to be ashamed of. He rode the World Champion off
his wheel but still didn't win. Oh, hang on...
