  1. So what's with the cats? Shabby, Cftmtb, and piledhigher all have pictures of cats as their avatar thingies. I gotta say, as someone who's avatar is a surprised looking fish (and a runty one at that), I'm a little concerned...

    Regards,

    Suzy

Me-ow!!! To balance things up, I also have a ancient Blue Heeler x Kelpie. Maybe I should create a avatar based on her? 😉

Pilehigher's is more an anti-cat. Um, I've always like the idea of a dead fish bumper sticker.

I'd be careful Carl. I've seen & heard Hatchy fight.
He saw off a rival on my doorstep some time ago. Never heard anything like it & there was enough black fur left on the ground to knit a kitten. (The interloper was also black.)

    Beware the Abbotsford fighting cat!

Talk to me in 6 months about a new contender. We got a kitten a couple
of weeks ago who has our 9 year old cat completely intimidated to the
point where she won't come in the house unless the kitten has been
locked away. I've a feeling this little guy is gonna be nasty when he
    grows up.

"You call that scratchin' yer groin? This is scratchin' yer groin!"

with apologies to Crocodile Dundee (Really really serious apologies. You know the Croc Dundee people sued the Grosby shoe people a few years ago for using a Croc Dundee like character in their adverts)

Not forgetting the *hoarse panting* from the pair of them, after the stoush, I've never heard anything quite like it before or since. Interesting thing about Hatchy, he's got a neck thicker than most small dogs his own size. Breed 'em tough in the back streets of Abbotford. 😄

and keep 'em tough out here 🙂 (my arms/feet know all about him!)

He's sound asleep (dunno how.. techno thumping..) in a new hiding spot I
made when I dragged out a phone table with padded seat and leaned a big
framed poster on it. It's a kitty shaped "bedroom". 🙂

The littlest ones are always the toughest fighters.
They have to stand up for themselves.
