  1. I'm curious if there's anyone out there that is a long term successful
user of the South Beach plan? My wife just can't eat very much meat, and is
alergic to fish, so she's trying SB.

What about eggs, cottage cheese and tofu? How much meat is "very
much"? She doesn't like the taste/texture or did she have her stomach
stapled so she has to put her various grams of steak in a blender for
    the rest of her life?

She's a small person with not alot to lose. South Beach fits her mindset
better with more variety of the stuff she likes. Some people don't like meat
for whatever reason. I can eat 3 lbs of steak or ribs in a sitting everyday
    of my life.
