  1. Hi everyone,

I injured my wrist last monday using bad form and 7 days laters its about
75% better. Ive quit icing it after day 4 but have started again today. Is
there anything else i can do? I have been wearing an elastic bandage since
last week too. When i rotate my wrist there is a certain point where i feel
pain, other wise its fine. I also will feel pain when i lift something or
    pull on some stuff.

Did you take time off from lifting to allow your wrist to heal?

My wrists are a mere six and a half inches and I've put the hurtin' on
the right one once with some overenthusiastic dumbbell benches. Time
off was the cure for what ailed me.

Best of luck with your recovery.

  3. Yes i have. Ive stayed away from weights since i injured myself. Btw my
wrists are the same size. How long did it take you to completely heal?

I'm no expert, but I did spend about half of last year running among my
doctor, physical therapists, and orthopedic doctors trying to find a
cure for my wrist after I got impatient with a nagging pain and decided
to ignore it. After I'd ignored it for a while, I wasn't even able to
lift a bicycle wheel, let alone a pot of water or a jug of milk. You
don't want to be in that position. Aside from the frustration of
watching all my hard work slip away, I also spent a not-small amount of
money, even after insurance, paying for multiple xrays, an MRI, many
physical therapy sessions and all of the doctor's visits.

Please give your body the time it needs to heal, even if it means
you're stuck doing things without your upper body for a while.

Maybe the reason I'm responding so strongly is that mine was also a
pain when rotating my wrist. It never hurt when riding my mountain
bike, but carrying it was agony.

  5. Ok i'll make sure to wait until i feel absolutely no pain. Sorry about your
situation. After its healed up do i need to do any strengthening exercises
or can i just go back to my normal workout routine?

Ah, yes, another member of the light-boned brigade.

A little over a month. I'll echo another poster in this thread... I'm
no expert. Please see a doctor.
