My husband said they make me look like a librarian. I didn't see that at
all until he pointed it out. However, he thinks librarians are very sexy,
so coming from him I'm taking it as a compliment.

Huge improvement! You fast-forwarded three decades from the "1970's
lovechild" look to the 2000's just by changing your glasses! Good for you

I agree. I think the old ones were alittle too close a match to your face
shape. The new ones look much better. They draw attention to your eyes and
allow more view of your eyebrows which gives you more expression.

Side Note: Since people are reading this let me pop a general note in.
Anyone who has bifocals and uses a computer alot MUST talk to their
optometrist about getting computer glasses. Or at LEAST get a cheap ugly
pair with just the lower lens as a full prescription (referred to as
reading glasses). It moved me from 2 hours a day before I lost interest for
unknown reasons, to be able to spend all day again on the computer (yeah I
know thats not necessarily a good thing)

I solved that problem a different way. Trifocals. Middle lens is perfect
distance for computing. Bottom for reading. Top for closely examining

My mother got those for work, with bifocals she could see across the room
and she could see to read but she couldn't see the stuff on her desk.

That's what I got *tri*focals. The middle lens lets me keep my head in a
comfortable position without all that neck aerobics going on.

I meant to type trifocals. I have had tris for years. Still too much head
tilting and you have to get them positioned just right.

It's so much easier to use comfortable glasses. I mostly use my laptop now
and vary my position, the reading glasses make the whole computer screen
easily visible from any angle. I also wear reading glasses when reading the
newspaper as I find the trifocals uncomfortable for that. I am adapting the
hardware, i.e., glasses.

Looks good. For an even more drastic change try contact lenses
(especially tint enhancers), could really open up your face.
