90% of what is being posted about the Codex Alimentarius
Commission
Quoted message said:and vitamins is wild over-reaction to deliberate
misinformation.
Quoted message said:
#1 - The standards of the Commission are for voluntary use
by
Quoted message said:governments and there is no obligation for governments to
adopt them,
Quoted message said:either as a member of the Commission or as a member of the
World
Quoted message said:Trade Organization. (Canada is both.)
#2 - The proposed code applies solely to countries that
regulate
Quoted message said:vitamins and minerals as food. In Canada, they are regulated
as
Quoted message said:Natural Health Products so the proposed Codex will not apply
here
Quoted message said:even as an advisory document.
My source for both these statements is the Minister of
Health for
Quoted message said:Canada, the Hon. Ujjal Dosanjh.
Could you post your verifiable link again.. this one
came out invisible on my screen. So far all Ive seen is a
bunch of nut cases trying to say the glorious drug companies
are a bunch of money grubbing thieves who lie about their
product testing and want to control the vitamin market in
order to drive prices out the roof...and preclude therapeutic
doses... limiting dosage to the established minimum over the
counter ...since suppliment and herb use been cutting deeply
into the need for their drugs. In the USA of course, the
worlds largest market, vitamins and others such are classed as
food suppliments.
No way in hell would the drug companies sneak CODEX in on
us all sweet and nice, with teeth... then gradually let the
teeth sink in as they discover that vitamin E is really a
killer vitamin after all and needs to be prescription only.
for our own protection of course... without CODEX I dont
know we could even live... please can you post your documented
link again...

I also note that the senior European Court judge has ruled
that any
Quoted message said:European country that does adopt the proposed standard as it
stands
Quoted message said:will be in violation of several EU statutes.
The world is not coming to an end.
Feel free to cross-post this.
