Yeah, in real life she is doing Jenny Craig. But her "character" on the
show doesn't. She consults an "expert" who has advised her to get a
tapeworm, and put her in touch with a guy who claims that surrounding
yourself with small things will make you smaller, so she starts hanging
out with midgets.

I had it on for 10 min, I couldn't stand much more of it. She used to be
funny but now she is just trying. The whole weight loss thing consumes her
and makes it a huge YAWN. She is doing nothing to help her public image with
this show. But thats just how I feel.

From what I know of "Roseanne", the show had nothing to do with weightloss.
So while the characters may have been FFID, there was no focus on losing
weight like there is on this show. So it seems you're off in la-la land.

The show is like a train wreck- it's certainly not pretty but is hard to
turn away from...
We've seen every episode and DH and I regularly look at each other thinking
"did they really do that?"

IMO Kirstie herself is just being pathetic and sad, but the supporting cast
is awesome.
I mean- Kelly Preston dining on Kleenex and advising aquiring intestinal
parasites to get the weight off?
Crack as a diet aid?
And Kirstie lap dancing Kid Rock alone was worth the price of admission...
