THIS type doesn't. But confusingly, many completely different critters are popularly called sea lice. The salmon pest is a totally different critter from the "sea lice" that causes the red-ant type stings under swimsuits and wetsuits in the South Atlantic and Caribbean. Which stings don't cause permanent harm, but aren't much fun. These "sea lice" are actually jellyfish and other Cnidarian larvae. THEY bother human swimmers but not salmon.
