SID 2001 XC why only 65mm of travel?

  1. Hi, I got a SID 2001 XC and I serviced it the other day and checked to make sure that the ALL TRAVEL
    SPACER plastic thingy that rockshox puts on the dampener shaft to let you choose between 63 and 80mm
    of travel was off.

    Essentially, I'm wondering why if my fork is currently set up for 80mm why do I only get 65mm max
    when I measure it with teh "zip-tie" method.

    Is the 80mm possiblility of travel just a bit of exaggeration by Rockshox? Or do I have something
    set up wrong? Whats the max I can expect?
