    increase lung capacity?

you don't train to increase "lung capacity". *Aerobic* capacity is mostly
determined by factors such as oxidative capacity of muscle, capilarisation,
and adaptions that occur in the cardiac muscle.

There are a number of different ways these various components are addressed.
Look up VO2 max training as a starting point.

Take up a wind instrument, such as a flute or a tuba. Oh, and quit
running. It won't help your lung capacity.

  5. wrong.
running is good for the lungs.

  6. He might believe you,
    trust you,
    and stop running

    .... and in time,
feel much, much worse, suffer needelessy,
and only learn all over again ~
    for 1000000000000000 time,

    don't trust.

  7. There's no excuse for lies
    or meaness.

    .... even Black witchcraft works.
But I don't endorse or practive it.

Please show me where I said that running is bad for the lungs. To quote
myself, since you did not - "It won't help your lung capacity."

The OP's original question, which you also did not quote was "Can
anyone tell me what is the best method of training to help increase
    lung capacity?"

Again, running WILL NOT increase lung capacity.

  9. .... or quibble,
    if a persons needs help.

    So why are you quibbling?

That would be best, if he wants to increase lung capacity.

How would he suffer? Millions of people don't run. Are they all
    suffering needlessly?

    Lean, swift elegant canine,
    A former friend of mine?"

    "Smirnoff?
O, of course ~ Playing golf,
Six under par, swinging her turn on the far nine

Holes. Her iron tossed aside, Smirnoff putts,
    Trusts her luck,
A gentle tapping toward the freshly manicured green,

The fairway's hole, an empty cup,
Where Smirnoff, a lean Whippet undershoots, sinks,
    Slinks under the links,

Underscores par's crass ending ~ Hoodwinks,
Wags, whips our her whip, laps

  14. Forgive me.
I have to go throw up some more blood now.

    I called my doc;
    no return phone call.

    I have no health insurance,
so alas, I better go lie down,
and pray that it passes soon.

  15. Forgive me,
I must now go throw up some more blood.

    I called my doctor,
    but no return phone call.

    So I better go lie down now;
    I have no health insurance,
    I pray it passes soon.

Go to the ER. You don't need insurance for the ER. Do it now.
