I've seen other posts, but no answers anywhere to this. I've had my Forerunner for over a year, and the only thing I don't like is the volume of the alert beep. It's so quiet I can't hear it when wearing the unit on my wrist. Sometimes I don't even hear it while wearing it on my bicep.
Has anyone heard of a way to increase the volume? Any idea if Garmin is planning to remedy this?
A vibrate alert would be great, many people listen to music while running as well. Garmin is very receptive to suggestions/input on their products, send them an e-mail.

I don't believe that the volume can be increased, making matters worse is that the way I wear mine on top of my wrist seems to block the speaker so I hardly ever hear it. The 4 little holes on the back are the speaker port so you might try foam or something similar to keep it up from your skin so as to allow the sound a better chance of escape.
