  1. Went for my first Audax on Sunday and I'd recommend them to anyone.
Did "Caputh the Flat Way" from Forfar, although it still had almost
600m of climbing (over 100km). Everyone was very friendly and welcoming
    - the oddest bit was queueing up at a stranger's kitchen door for some
    free soup and cake.
I was definitely a novelty item on the Speedmachine but tried to make
converts and in exchanged had my first shot of a fixed (fun).
I'll definitely be doing some more soon.

  2. Well done. 600m is fairly flat by audax standards, perhaps the
organiser was feeling philanthropic. There are plenty of easy 150's and
    200's as well.
    Warning, it's addictive.

How far and what route? I was tempted but had other commitments.
Probably go for the Wellbank ones, depending on my legs, in june. They
    do seem a bit hilly.

100km. Forfar, Glamis, Newtyle, back road, Collace, Woodside, Murthly,
Caputh, Spittalfield, Mieklour, big hedge, Coupar Angus,Ardler, Meigle,
Kirriemuir, Brechin Rd, Forfar. It's a nice run. Drop me an e-mail if
you want a copy of the route.

I'm planning on doing the Owre the Howe at Wellbank, so look out for a
    Speedmachine if you make it.

P.S. The route sheet for the Stevenage 210 can be had from <URL:
    http://homepage.ntlworld.com/colinade/NthHertsCTC/sitemap.htm> Mr
Organisator tells Mr Paranoid (me) that the first lot will be posted today.

    World Domination?
Just find a world that's into that kind of thing, then chain to the
floor and walk up and down on it in high heels. (Mr. Sunshine)

hurrah! I finally get to see the thatched thingy in Lavenham (missed it on
the 600). Those who think this an easy jaunt through the flat fens could be
    in for a surprise....
