His people called me several years ago and were going on and on about
how they were going to take out a full-page ad in the New York Times
with my name on it -- and the names of countless otheres -- how this
and that was going to happen etc.

I recognized the BS the guy was feeding me as BS and said, "Wait a
minute ... are you eventually going to ask me for money?"

Naturally he was. But the money would be used for the betterment of
the world somehow. They were asking the lucky few (like me) for
$500.00

I told the guy I was surprised he'd called me. Especially since I was
a registered Democrat. This slowed him down a bit and he told me he'd
take me off their list.

Well, he must have forgot about me. One of his buddies called me the
next year on behalf of DeLay. I didn't let him get as far before
dropping the 'D' word. I stopped him just after "New York Times."
