  1. Does a superset consist of work from opposing, or same muscle groups? Would
    the following be efficient supersets?

DB lying pullover & DB seated lateral raise
DB seated shoulder press & lat pulldown
BB seated shoulder press & lat pulldown
    Leg curl & leg extension
    DL & squat
Reverse DB fly & DB fly
DB one-arm bent-over row & DB incline bench press

  2. those are good push/pull exercises. if you alternate between a pair for
about 4 or 5 sets with 30 seconds of rest in between, that would qualify as
    a superset.

People use the term differently. The strict definition I picked up is that
supersets work opposing muscle groups, but lots of people just use it to
mean working different muscle groups alternately.

    Sort of, mostly

    Yes

    Yes

    DL & squat

No. Too much overlap in legs and back, even (IMO) if it's a front squat.

    Yes

Common usage of "superset" means opposing muscle groups.
Doing two exercises for the same mucles group or movement (or non
opposing exercise) is a compound set.

That's what I do. I have push, pull and leg days. If I'm feeling frisky,
I'll do my leg day with my pull day. The only break I get is walking from
one station to the other. Kicks my ass, but is a nice change.
