It's from 1896, so don't expect anything about derailleurs.

Oodles of illustrations.

Lots and lots of equations.

Detailed consideration of frames, wheels, bearings, chains,
gears, steering, tires, brakes, pedals, cranks, and so forth
follows an initial 140+ pages of "Principles of Mechanics."

It's fun to see what has and hasn't changed.

If the subjunctive be superior, then Archie will please you.
