I don't know. I thought this was a cycling newsgroup but it does seem to
have degenerated in to a [censored] about cars/busses/anything gtoup instead
of about cycling. Only a few posts relating to real live trips.
It's enough to amke anyone sad.

Jesus, 2-4 hours a day in newsgroups and you still don't know not to
start a thread with a top post.

I heard it spoken of once, when my groceries were delivered. The man
said he had *other places* to go to. "But dont you just bring my
vegetables to me?", I asked. Apparently not. Spooky.

Two solutions:
(i) move somewhere where there are mountains, and ride your mountain
bike
(ii) get a bike that's suitable for the routes you actually ride on.

Due to financial constraints, the light at the end of the tunnel
has been switched off.

Couldn't do that - my kitchen's too small. I'd get complaints anyway.
In fact I've had complaints about putting a cyclist in the kitchen, let
alone a complete bike. At the end of a cold, wet training ride I
invited my sodden companion in for a warm and a cup of coffee. "Don't
bring him back here again," said Sue, "he's dripped all over the
floor."

No offence to all you roadies out there ...your either born a roadie or your
born a mountain biker and I was born the latter.

Oh, no. I was about thirty five before I even saw a mountain bike. These
days my best mountain bike is far and away my favourite bike... but I
still love my road bikes.

the reason is because I have a girlfriend who isnt really inpressed with
this idea because that would involve her quitting uni. I am currently
seeking a solution See a post named "cycle trailer" if it still in here
