  1. I'm looking to change my clamp on down tube shifters to some bar end types
    does anyone know where I can purchase some clamp on cable stops in the UK
    for a reasonable price.

    cheers

    I don't know a source for band-on stops with adjusters, but here are some
    without:
    www.sjscycles.com/store/vIndex.htm?item1390.htm (+ £5 postage)

    One way of using normal braze-on stops with adjusters* (and they are good)
    is to use the band-on adapter from old Shimano 105 6-speed DT levers (or
    similar model).

    * www.dotbike.com/Products/ProductsS1C54P63.aspx

    or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7140883703

    Thanks for the URL's I think I'll wait till I need a few more items to
    justify the £5 postage from sjs cycles, but at least I know where to get
    them. Once again many thanks

    cheers
