Bend them back... Use a vise and lots of force, but not on the lever
assembly itself. If it feels like it's going to yield, keep going till you
get them where you want them... breaking them won't hurt your wallet. Pull
hard on the newly bent-back levers... if they survive the first few *hard*
stops, then they should be fine thereafter. If they're painted, it'll flake
off. If anodized, they'll have small cracks in the finish. If they break,
then get new levers.

B.S. You LBS is probably only checking with distributors. Shimano
direct will ship individual levers as well as small parts if the shop
has an account. You didn't say what model you have. M755 levers are
being replace/upgraded to M756 with replacement. So if you have M755's
and you replace the whole lever you will have to relace the hose as
well(the tubing attachment has different threads between M755 & M756
models).

If only the lever blade is bent, you should be able to secure one for
~15 to 20 USD.

I replied yesterday, but NONE of my posts showed up (even checked Google
Groups). Don't know how you all managed...

Anyway, what I said was, since it's apparently trashed, why not try bending
that sucker back in place. Worked for my old XTR V-brake lever; not sure if
that applies to hydros though...

I appreciate the info/heads-up/research. FWIW they are the m756 brakes. I'll give bti a try. Once again, all of the advice is appreciated. Sadly, my better half didn't go for the "...but, now I *need* new brakes." Seems like she knows me or something...
