I saw that Wahoo announced new subscription tiers for its app and bike computers. As someone who prefers spending money on mechanical upgrades and drivetrain fixes rather than monthly fees, I am trying to figure out if any of this is actually useful for a casual rider.
From what I can tell, the Core plan costs $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year for advanced analytics. There is also a Pro plan at $17.99 a month or $179.99 a year that includes SYSTM content. They have also introduced a 3DP running metric system and a partnership with Coros for watch integration.
My main question is whether the Core tier is actually worth the spend. Since there is a partnership with Coros, and riders have access to a training hub through them, I am wondering if the paid Wahoo analytics offer anything that the free alternatives don't already cover.
