  1. Ok, Safeway had turkey bacon on sale buy one get one free, so I went ahead
and picked 2 packages up. I figured less fat and calories, however, the
taste and texture leaves a little to be desired. I nuked some for bacon
bits on my salad. Kinda chewy. Anywy, since I have 2lbs to get through,
anybody have ideas/experience with this stuff?
    TIA

Never tried the bacon, but turkey ham dries into a really good jerky.
Give it a try - hang on oven rack at lowest possible setting (~150d)
with door ajar for a few hours.

My sympathies about Turkey bacon. I try not to eat pork so thought
turkey bacon would be a good substitute. I tried aname brand but found
the stuff unchewable--like leather. I threw mine out and don't buy it
    anymore.

Cook it up, crop it up, and put in cabbage.

  6. I used to nuke and nuke and nuke turkey bacon until very crisp. Tasted
wonderful. I stopped doing this because of things I read about excessive
heat damaging fats, and even making trans fat.

After nuking, I would put the cooked bacon in the freezer section for about
ten minutes. It helps make it seriously crisp.
