Daughter and I needed to come up with an instant dinner last night and
decided to wrap hot dogs (in a spiral) with thick sliced bacon and cook
them on the grill. . We cut the buns in half lengthwise,(so the top makes 2
buns for one dog and the bottom makes another two) Slathered the buns with
garlic butter and grilled that too. It was the best hot dog we ever tasted
and came to about 10 carbs per dog. Use toothpicks on either end to hold
bacon on and cook till bacon is crisp.

it with knife & fork, I wrap it in a slice of american cheese.I have recently lost my tast for hot dogs altogether. oh well.

Skip the bun, then we are talking low carb. 10 carbs is nearly half my
allowance....I'd rather spend it on veggies...... -

ever seen is calculated so that one hot dog bun (top & bottom) is TWO
servings. So by cutting them in half you are getting 1 full serving instead
of 2 (not half of a serving). I avoid white flour and most packaged
processed foods anyway.Grilling them with bacon sounds like a good idea, though. Now I'm in the
mood for hot dogs. 🙂--

tortillas because we could get more filling in them than with the buns.--

I just cook 'em and eat 'em with mustard. No bun.
Often I get hotdogs at the movies, and just use the bun to hold the
thing, then throw the bun away after. -
Just checked the package. They are BarS buns and it says one bun 21 carbs.
There are 8 buns in the package and it says 8 servings. -
And you also learned how to quote.
You must have a headache now.

Why bother with low carb diet if you love eating buns so much?
It's so much easier to stay fat. It's ok, you can quit now and never feel
the pain.--

Your bacon wrapping made me think of something that I love to make. Bacon
wrapped pork tenderloin with a low-carb maple syrup glaze is one of my
favorites on the grill. Just cook it until it hits about 160 and the bacon
is nice and crisp. I might have to break out the grill one of these days
again.
Thanks,
Mark
