I'm building a giraffe and I was wondering how to tension the chain, or where to put the 'tensioner' (http://tinyurl.com/4j4jl) . Please help. I'll type you a song from Monty Python if you help (it's all I have to offer).

I guess they should be at the bottom of the frame on either side, pulling the wheel downwards* when tightening the bolts. Similar to a bike turned vertical (front wheel up).
* Well, relative to the frame that is. If the wheel is on the ground, they actually push the frame upwards.

Just what Klaas says. The part with the hole goes on the wheels bolt for the axil. And the other part pushes the frame up. Dont get the bullet proof ones they slip off all the time. Get the 'primo chain tentioner' (http://tinyurl.com/6jeza) its way better you got a block of metal on the frame and not little bults that slip off.

When you are wandering about in town have a looked at the chain tensioner on a motorbike (preferably a parked one). These are very solid, I used this design on mine.
