  1. You know it's been too long since your last ride when you have to kill
some redback spiders to get to your bike.

    Damn.

Also found that my cable for the cadence counter is broken. Not happy.

Have an interesting variant on this - bought a 150cc scooter a few months
back (yeah, I know but its got 2 wheels so I'm interested).

Parked it in the garage where the odd web is to be found - and was a bit
astonished the other morning on the way to the shops to have a large
huntsmen spider start wandering over the back of my hand, no doubt the
better to discuss with me whether his home really should be mobile.

Braked, got off and did this really silly dance around the scooter (entirely
unnecessarily but I still have not got over this arachnophobia thing).

Told the children they won't inherit the house. The spiders will.

    best, Andrew

Relax, huntsmans like mobile homes. They infested the Nikki when we had
it and we've always had one in the Mazda van (13 years), but I an
jealous as I don't have one on either of our bicycles.

We are comfortable with the huntsman patrolling the house interior
walls, but what has us scratching our heads is the leaf curler that has
    turned up above the stereo.

I'm getting ready to sell my motorbike cos I just don't use it much, so
I cleaned and waxed it on the weekend.

    Then I noticed it's not registered ! 🙂 Now that's neglect 🙂

It's a well known dance around these parts. I did it at Tulla when I
was picking up the oldies. Christmas, so it was hot and I was wearing
shorts. I flipped down the sun visor and a big one landed and took
refuge inside the shorts. While I was dancing, I noticed that the taxi
queue was giving me one of those Uh Oh looks. I called out "huntsman"
and half the queue relaxed with Ah, Ok gestures. The other half looked
even more nervous about this local religious ceremony, but glanced
around and gradually got pacified by the locals.

It's a powerful thing, the huntsman dance.

There is a notorious tree in the carpark where I wasted most of my yoof and earlier adulthood wasted playing baseball.
Everyone knew not to park under it due to its insanely excessive arachnid population of seemingly children eating variety.
Used to tell the rookies it was 'the rookie carpark' and then watch them leap ot of their car after game/training to fits of laughter.
Then one day the new guy got in, drove off and we all looked at each other wondering why mr-8-legs hadnt shown up.
Saw the car head up Belmore Rd. Then an almighty screech of tyres, young lad jump out of car, starting to pummel windscreen with baseball glove.
Decided for public's safety we better share the scoop on the tree after that.

The tree is stil lthere. no idea why it has this population. seems to be same make/model as many other trees nearby...
