  1. Hello, I'm kind of new to the whole cycling scene and I was looking at
new road bikes. I recently tried the Giant OCR-1, and really loved it,
however I've been shopping around and most places dont seem to carry
the giants here. Is there anything to be warry of with Giant Bicycles,
I was told they were the biggest manufacturer of bicycles. It bothers
me though that most places dont seem to have them, do they break easily
or a lot? Any advice you guys could offer would be great

They are (or close to it), but a lot of their bikes are sold under other
brand names, rather than under their own.

They are a well-respected brand, and are probably no more or less likely
to fail than any other major brand (Trek, Specialized, Fuji, Bianchi,
    etc).

Where is "here"? Lots of shops carry Giants where I live. Remember that,
like all bike companys, Giant does not sell bikes to every bike shop. They
will only support a certain number of shops per city. I don't own one, but I
think Giants are a pretty good deal if they fit you.

Giant is a solid, reputable maker.

Nobody has bikes in all the stores everywhere. They do try to support their
dealers by not competing with them. You won't find more than a couple of dealers
for any bike line in any area. These aren't like the [censored] you find in walmart,
Kmart, target and every other store.

With Ultegra components, the OCR1 is a pretty ridiculously good value. We
sell a lot of them and never see them come back with problems.
