My neighbor (90+ year old lady named Irene) came up with this recipe and it's consistantly won blue ribbons at food fairs. She made us a loaf and it's outstanding, so I'm passing the recipe on to you folks. Enjoy!
Mix and set aside: flour, salt, soda and sugar. Mis well: eggs, oil, strawberries and nuts. Make a well in the dry ingredients, add liquid and mix by hand until combined. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake one hour at 350 degrees. Cool in pan for 20 minutes.

Sounds delicious!
Wayne, it's so moist and good! The only thing is that I might want to add a little orange flavor and maybe a few more strawberries, but it's really good!

Definitely looks moist. How about a little Grand Marnier or Curaçao? Do you slice or crush the berries? What kind of nuts do you prefer? I'd probably opt for pecans or walnuts.

Mac nuts, pecans, walnuts would all work in here. And yes! Grand Marnier! That would be awesome! Irene sliced the strawberries in this bread; I would do the same or you'll end up with really large mushy areas from whole strawberries.
So this makes two small loaves, as opposed to a regular bread loaf size.
Thanks. Carol

Snipped and saved recipe...
OK, I've consumed many attempts at strawberry bread and none of them were worth talking about, much less typing. This one sounds like it would be much better, maybe it's the 2 cups of strawberries that makes the difference. I'll try it for sure.
Thanks,
BOB
Absolutely! Hope you like it; we devoured our little loaf in about, oh, 5 minutes. LOL.

I'm predicting slightly more time here, but not much.
