I have read the last two issues of Cycle Sport almost cover to cover. There are many Ethnic names that I never heard pronounced. Can anyone disipher any of theese names: 1. Oscar [Freire] 2. Federico [Bahamontes] 3.Lucien Van [Impe] 4. Peter [Winnen] 5. [Thierry Claveyrolat] Thank you.

This may not be much help, but, personally, I would simply call each of them "Sir."

Freire = Fr-air (roll the r's quickly), Bahamontes = say it how it's spelled (Baha-mont-ez), Impe = Eemp, Winnen = win-en, Thierry Claveyrolat = Tee-airy Clah-vay-roll-aht
That help?
