Motorists don't travel in large groups do they. They're just a load of individuals going in the same
direction pretty much like all the cyclists on the cycle path I use in the mornings. And the
occurrence of traffic jams isn't a deliberate action on anyone's part so it's unavoidable.

If the social gathering involves getting in the way of everyone else on the road then yes ofcourse
it's selfish. Isn't that what selfish means...indulging your own pleasure at someone else's expense?
I wasn't singling out cyclists. As I pointed out in my other post I think it's quite sad that people
can't show a bit more consideration for others in all walks of life.
Personally though, since I don't usually drive myself I'm glad they're on the road and not out in
the woods with me :-)
