What model/s from each brand are you looking at?

Depends how much your willing to spend? In terms of just frames, the new CAAD 8 Cannondale is similar in price to the Avanti and from what i have ridden it feels a lot better.

I didnt think to ask. Im in Aus so things might be slightly different. One advantage of cannondale is they use the same frame for their range but change the componetry to suit different budgets. Best thing to do is go to the shops and ride them. Most shops i have dealt with are happy to let you take one for a ride if your a serious buyer.

Great Im in Brisbane. Im a Filipino actually going to uni here and I have been riding Mtb for 2 years now and I brought my Mtb with me. When I came to Aus I noticed road bikes are really popular here and I decided to give it a try. Lets say my only choice would be Avanti or Felt, what would you suggest?

I guess alot depends on availability, I'm in WA and some of the Felt models are near on impossible to get your hands on and if you do get them trying to get the right size is difficult to. Haveing said that you will get more for your money in terms of componentry with felt, I think Felt make a Ultegra speck bike for bout $2000 whereas with avanti your looking more at 105 for that price. I'd deffinately test ride them both first, but more bang for your buck with Felt.

I have just recently purchased a new bike but spent forever looking at bikes. I agree that Felt are great value for money as I looked at them for myself. However you would need to test one to see if the geometry suite your body..also alot of the 2005 models were sold out when I was looking at them and some model sizes had apparently extremely long waiting lists for the next shippment. If your looking for value for money you could always look at Giant...they are difficult to fit but if u take the right frame size it could be an option. Goodluck!
