    I,m new to cycling and have been using the internet quite a bit to get a handle on terminology,components, equipment etc, and have read on a number of occasions that shifter's are Flightdeck compatable. Can someone out there explain this to me please.

    It means that the STI (dual control) levers are designed to accept the button controls & wiring for the Flightdeck cycle computer.
