Shifted shifter

PS it worked fine prior to that.

Click the small inner lever several times. Then, when you pull back the
brake lever, you should see the entry point. You have to get it back to the
highest gear position.

Using the professional mechanic's favorite tool, a pointy
spoke, work it back while pressing the return lever.

spoke, work it back while pressing the return lever.

So I am right in assuming that there is no return spring in the
shifter and that it uses the derail(er)(eur) spring to return.

There are so many springs in there I'm hesitant to say but
it will need a push to return once it goes past high gear
