I am getting a new trek 1000 and I would like an adjustable stem for it and I don't know what kind or where to find them. If somebody could find a stem for me that would fit, post up a link. I'm a complete newb to this site, so please, take it easy on me for not searching too hard. I'm still learning the board. thanks

You should probably check out the ITM Millenium Adjustable stem. I got one at repartocorse.com.

Ritchey makes an adjustable stem. It's the Pro Road adjustable. You can adjust it up to 45 degrees up or down. www.excelsports.com has it for $69.95Look also makes one, called the Ergostem. It is actually adjustable on both ends. Be prepared to pay $220 for this one.
