love to do weights which means less cardio.. any suggestions? also I am
a vegetarian and hence no meat or eggs for me , is there any
combination other than supplements that will help me gain muscle mass?

Pick one or the other. Lose weight or gain muscle. You can't do both at the
    same time.

    Why?

    .. any suggestions?

    Yes, do both.

Sorry to hear it. How long you had that problem?

Which is it, do you want to lose weight or gain muscle?

I'm a lazy vegetarian. I only eat herbivorous animals.

Probably tastier than limiting yourself to man-eating-plants.

I'm assuming you're lacto, since you do explicitly mention eggs but not milk
(and since most indians drink milk, even the vegetarians)

Whey powder is fine. I don't really think of whey powders as "supplements",
they're not supplements any more than something like textured vegetable
protein used in various "fake meat" products is a "supplement".

Besides whey concentrate, milk and yogurt are good options. You need a fairly
substantial quantity to get a good protein intake.

    Cheers,
