Thanks for the replies.

It looks like 1mm wall cro-mo is the way to go.

Top of quill is machined cap, prob Al, bottom will be flat plate
for wedge. Bar clamp will prob be 2 bolt, 1 top and 1 bottom.

No lugs, all fillet.

This is not art, I'm just trying to get a better fit.

Maybe for fun I'll use aero tubing for arm.
