  1. are they sold in Melbourne anywhere?

    thanks

  2. Le Knicks on Beach Rd, Black Rock has them on the racks, as well as the
matching bib shorts. They are genuine exte-ondo made items. The price for
these items is very steep relative to other brands.

PS- I actually own an Euskatel Orbea bike in bright orange, but I do not
wear the matching clothing. I find the bike gets enough attention as it is,
even more Orange is not required!

I reckon the more bright (orange) the better the cars can see you. I have a
black carbon road bicycle so I tend to wear bright yellow or orange
    colours.....

to change the topic only a little bit: what model Orbea do you have? Orca?
Onix? other? how long have you had it for? and what do you think of it?

    thanks once more!

  4. Hi guys,

Gotta love the Orbeas (well, my Orbea anyway...!!).

I'm riding a "very bottom of the range" Orbea Enol - jet black, and
kitted out with some awesome Shimano Sora gear (hmmmmm).

Anyway, enjoy every minute of riding it. Feels much better than my last
bike (a Trek Nevada Ace) - very nimble/agile and very stable as well.

I've thought about the "ironic combo" of my base model Orbea coupled
with the "Orange Army" Euskatel jersey - but I keep struggling to
breath whenever I see the price tags on the jerseys.

    Cheers all,
Absent Husband (who has also thought about the "ironic combo" of lard
[censored] plus TdF polka-dot jersey - and have been lobbying for its
    inclusion on my birthday wishlist!!)

    Yuri,

My Orbea is a couple of years old, and the frame is the Euskatel team bike
frame from around the 2003 season. It is a full aluminium "Mitis" frame with
Orbea's own 6000 series tubing. It has the bright orange with green/blue
front end paint scheme that team bikes were using a couple of years ago. The
groupset is Ultegra, and the wheels are Ritchey WCS deep section, which are
a touch on the heavy side but are very strong and durable. I will email a
pic of my bike so you can see for yourself.

Do I like it? I absolutely love it! I switched from a steel racing bike, so
was hesitant to buy a full aluminium bike at first. But remarkably this bike
rides smoother than my old steel bike, whilst being very stiff and
responsive in the bottom bracket area. The quality and detail on the frame
is absolutely magnificent, and the colour scheme with the hand stenciled and
airbrushed graphics attract lots of attention. I probably should have specd
the bike with a Campag groupset, as I find the Shimano set to be a bit
"lazy" in its shifts- campags seem to be much more positive. Otherwise the
bike is an absolute joy, and at this stage I see no reason to upgrade to a
    newer Orbea.

    Regards,

    Sasha

warning: if you buy Exte Ondo stuff over then net, they are sized for midgets. The average person here would take at least XL in their jersey sizing.

  7. thanks everyone!
