  1. So Crit Pro what do you have to say about Robbie interview is
cyclingnews where he states "I never believed domestically there were
ever any issues - I honestly never believed it. In my mind I thought
that there wasn't enough to gain... even in Europe, I thought to myself
maybe there is one or two outsiders doing it"

So all your talk and Matt is just a bunch of [censored]..

Robbie did not say there was no doping in US racing. Your selective quote
is incomplete (you wouldn't intentionally distort what someone says but
selective quoting, would you?) and left out the significant part, to wit,
"But in life there are going to be people who are going to cheat, to take a
shortcut and beat the system. Michael Milkin in the bond market, Martha
Stewart! There are going to be cheaters in everything we do. I think the
people who cheat in cycling are getting caught, which is a good thing. They
are getting caught on a regular basis and it is hopefully going to be
stopped. I don't think people cheat in cycling more. I think it is hugely
exposed. The cycling media has a huge obsession with it, so any time it
happens they go nuts. In other sports, the media is not as insane about
positive drug tests. Our sport is more vigorous in out-of-sport testing and
athletes in cycling get caught more than in other sports."

I also noted this earlier in the interview,
"Last year I had talked to him about a couple of different things. I've
been lucky in my life to be exposed to a lot of great coaches - Rene Wenzel,
Doug Close, and a bunch of different people. And I'm like a sponge when it
comes to [coaching], I love it! Training, coaching and racing, the
physiological side, the performance side, the tactical side - I love it
    all."

Wenzel...........aren't one or both of the Wenzels involved in a legal
action in Federal Court brought by a former national team junior who claims
he was injected with doping products while under Wenzel's care and
supervision? Anyone know what the status of that action is?

Yes I would, but I think if you read the whole paragraph he isn't
filled with the sentiment that the whole peloton is juiced and there is
no chance to win mentality of some folks.

Then it's good that I clarified your selective quote with the remainder of
what he said on the topic. Clearly, Robbie hasn't said that there is no
doping problem in cycling as your header incorrectly states.

  5. I said no problem, not no doping.

    Dude,

Kenny isn't going to attack one of his former Postal teammates. Get real.

    Thanks,

    Mike,
    Please read this:

And bear in mind that if he goes away you'll lose some of the real
skinny on the USPRO scene that you'd never be able to get otherwise.
You can like or dislike his posts but there is some truth in them. It
really doesn't matter who he is or is not

    <snip>

    Dumbass -

    Naw.

I've heard from a number of sources that it's Mike Schatzman. It's only
grapevine though, take it for what it's worth.

    thanks,

    K. Gringioni.

c'mon just tell us who you guys are, we'll promise it never gets out of
    RBR.

I can give you the real skinny myself - some dudes like Bergman are
taking EPO, some are still going down to mexico and getting norandren
50 in the big bottles and sostenon 250 and losing all their hair.
    equipose maybe.
some are clean, but I would guess that it's a pretty small percentage -
but I'm just guessing from what I know.
this isn't some crazy news for some of us, and most probably don't care
one way or another, and some will NEVER believe anyone dopes.
Why would I want critpro to go away? so I can read about how awesome
    Lance is?
I started reading RBR again after critpro and decanio got on the scene
    - it was seriously delusional Lanceworshiping sycophants up in here for
    a long time.
but I would disagree with you on a few things -
you talk about pros growing up in this weird environment, seperate from
us normal joe bike racers. there are different kind of pros, and you
know that, and very few are "big league"
being a "pro" isn't some kind of crazy secret handshake fraternity
thing, back in the early to mid 90's you could buy a license for $500
and many of the guys I ride with were pros at one time or another, and
I live in New Mexico, which isn't exactly Colorado or California.
do you want me to name all the scrubby teams that have existed in the
US for the last 10 years? starting with richbraue and scott bikyle to
    yahweh/tokyo joes?

and it does matter to me who critpro is because I'm curious about who
has the balls to come out and say this stuff - don't brag about being a
pro until you tell me WHO you are, because there is a big difference
between say a Jonas Carney or John Lieswyn, and some anonymous dude who
is paying his way on some scrubby ass team getting hammered all season
    long.
If you think you guys are special just because you got a pro card
    you're not.
are you on a team that flys you to races and pays for everything, or
    are you
driving to fresno soon and paying to stay in the motel 6? i dont care
stay anonymous if you want, it's interesting to read anyway.
in fact, critpro or decanio or hoever could write a tell all book, and
sell it on a site for $20, and take paypal, I'll buy a copy if its not
    full of lame vague stuff,
the ben brooks epo in the fridge story, thats more like it. throw in
some good funny erik saunders style bike racing stories and you can
    make some money.
talk about who is a [censored], who gutters people bad, the nerds, the ladies
men, etc. people who follow domestic bike racing will buy it, we're
    talking DOZENS of people!

i have another issue with crit pro that doesn't involve anonymity-

for me it's depressing that someone (a bike racer) could look so
beautiful on a bike but turn out to be such a big [censored] when they open
their mouth. big big "let down" so to speak. i would prefer if in the
future crit pro could please just sit there, be quiet, and look pretty.

He's planning a full Maori tatoo on his face. Just call him Queequeg. As in
"He pressed his forehead against mine, clasped me round the waist, and said
that henceforth we were married... Thus, then, in our hearts' honeymoon, lay
I and Queequeg - a cosy, loving pair."
