I'll get the sledge out :-)

Up to a point. Suppose you are trying to arrange a funeral at which many
of the attendees will be rather elderly. Maybe you (well, me actually)
should delay for a few days 'cos it will be too cold for the older folks,
and too difficult driving for those coming a long way?

Not everyone wants snow :-|

AND, the new tyres I've ordered still haven't turned up apparently because
the importers of Schwalbe don't like to deal in quantities of less than
200, and I only want 2. So I'll be riding on slicks if it does snow :-(

Winter? What winter? We've got ants invading the kitchen already,
something which normally doesn't happen until April. Need to get a
kettle of boiling water and go and track down their nests.

Bugger it. I'd have liked to do that, but will be spending the day
cleaning my old flat prior to the key handover on monday. Hmmm. I may
have to see what I can do about getting finished on the Saturday!

A damn good squirt of WD40 into their nest will get rid of ants forever,
they must hate the smell (or maybe it messes with their chemical signals or
something) but it works better than hot water.

Perhaps it just kills them? I mean, what may seem like a mere a squirt of
WD-40 to you would most likely be the ant equivalent of a tsunami (and a
poisinous, fumey, oily one at that).
