  1. The other day when Vernon & I were out for a pootle round the lanes, we
cycled by one of Norfolk's many poultry sheds. It was at that stage where
the odour was ripe and the wind in a direction where the odour got me right
in the throat. Who is now nursing the usual throat infection which she gets
    after such cycling joys? BAH!

    Cheers, helen s

  2. Surely an irritation or an allergic reaction rather than an infection?

    Get well soon!

There's some nasty bacteria & spores that come out of those poultry sheds

My glands are up and my throat is raw. So I'm nursing it gently :-(

    Cheers, helen s

Bah. I've got to set off in under an hour, on a regular route that
takes me past the other end of that: "the vomit zone" is a stretch of
road that passes a KFC and a McDonalds and suffers - according to
weather - a mild to overwhelming stench of grease.

    Ugh:-(

eeeyew! In Dereham's market place is a fish & chip shop which on a lunchtime
can be very busy and the stench of hot grease from there can get my stomach
    turning. You have my sympathy.

    Cheers, helen s

Seems to have caused a split personality though.

Wafflycat is posting again -- but so is Helen C Simmons
