When attempting to do a backkick, I noticed that I can't keep my stomach up while backkicking, and therefore I also can't get my legs high enough to start kicking out of the water (to keep my body moving to my destination point). Sometimes, my shoulders get out of the water when they shouldn't be. Can anyone help me? Thanks alot.

I think you hit it in your post; your shoulders are out of the water, which means your head is too, so your hips are sinking to try to balance your body. Try to press your head and back into the water and stretch your reach out. Try this without even swimming, just floating to see how your hips move as you press your head into the water.
