Does anyone have any good recommendation for links about building mtb's
from the frame up.
Also any recommendation for where to get components?
thanks

http://www.parktool.com/repair_help/FAQindex.shtml Has some good info on how
to use bike tools as well as http://www.sheldonbrown.com . What kind of mtb
are you building up? The first place I'd look is you LBS for a build kit.
Many will cut you a break on a kit and most I've found reward loyal
customers with discounts.

Unless you want something that you can't get stock, it is less expensive
to buy a built up bike. Your other option for components are swap meets.
You can usually get some good deals there. Just be sure to carefully examine
the parts before you buy.
