Shimano Canti's come with two link wires, one labeled "E" and one "F". One
is slightly longer than the other.
Anyone have info on which you should use? Details: Mavic Open Pro Rims
with 700x23 or 25 tires on roads or hard surfaced trails.
Thanks

The answer is..it depends. Try to get the straddle wire to canti about 90
degrees...use the one that does this the best. Depends on the frame, also which
way you put on the spacers for the brake posts...

There are many lengths, those are the most common.
Depending on the distance between the brake studs and the
rim width, choose the link which ends with the two diagonal
wires at 90 degrees to each other when the pads touch the rim.
You may need yet another link wire length.
Some brake designs allow a small adjustment by moving the
shoes farther from the arm.
