I made this for supper tonight and thought it looked so pretty, I just

you burned the onions......
They just look that way in the picture. They were actually quite good.
Golden brown (ok... maybe a little darker than that... but they
weren't burnt)

Carmalized would be golden brown, some of those look black! Still looks
yummy though
