Hi, thought i would introduce myself. I have been lurking for a couple of months, but no posts. I have been doing lots of searches for recommendations on what bike to get. I had narrowed it down to Specialized FSR XC, Giant NRS, or Trek Fuel 80.
I went to the local LBS and tested them all. I was really leaning towards the specialized until i rode it. Didnt feel right to me. I spent over 2 hours going back and forth on the bikes. The sales guy was probably just about sick of me! I ended up buying an '05 Trek Fuel 80. Very happy with the purchase. Also picked up a Trek 3700 for my girlfriend while i was there.
Its been about 7-8 years since i was into MTbing , so i have to re-learn everything!
Thanks, FattyBri is a nickname i picked up while competing in local bodybuilding shows. I called myself that when i thought about sleeping in rather than get up to do my 4:30 am cardio!
