The picture is so over-processed, or just such simply poor quality, who
knows? So often these photos by AFP are seemingly shot with a 5-dollar
instant camera then scanned with a 50-dollar scanner.

Well, the one in the picture wouldn't appear to be very useful for
that kind of trade, so maybe not. I'm more interested in whether it is
solid gold, plate or just a bit of paint. Solid gold would impress me.

Hardly a single spectator in these pictures. Just a few stragglers at the
finish line and a camel earlier in the stage.
