Rear Bike Rack Recommendations

Definitely not flashy, but I have not had any problems with the rhode gear
super shuttle. Holds 2-3 bikes. I've attached it to a station wagon and to
a sedan with no difficulty except that on some bikes the placement of the
water bottle holder presents a challenge and also some bike designs (frame)
require you to fenagle a little. But on balance, these are completely
portable and inexpensive. The downside is serious though, which is
security. Because it is not permanently afixed to the car, someone can take
a knife and cut away the nylon straps; so it is great if you and not leaving
your car and bike alone for more than a bit.

The Bones look good.
Do you think I'll need the Protect-O-Pads that they manufacture to stop the
bikes rubbing and damaging the paintwork?
